A License Termination Plan (LTP) is a document that describes how a decommissioned nuclear power plant will meet the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) criteria for termination of its license and release of the site for unrestricted use. Yankee Rowe submitted its License Termination Plan to the NRC on November 24, 2003. The LTP was officially approved by the NRC in July 2005 and continues to be maintained by Yankee Rowe. The federally licensed site is now reduced to approximately 2 acres surrounding the Independent Spent Fuel Storage Installation (ISFSI) facility. Yankee Rowe has made no decision at this point regarding the future use of the former plant site.
